Each year, Charitable September gives us an incredible opportunity to rally behind a worthy cause, learn, promote, and actively contribute towards making a difference. For 2023, we plan to support Comfort Cases.

Comfort Cases inspires communities to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care.

On any given day, there are approximately 437,500 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. If they do have any personal belongings, they are given a trash bag in which to carry them.

Comfort Cases believes that every child deserves to feel a sense of dignity. Every child deserves to pack their belongings in a special bag that they can call their very own. Every child deserves to have a cozy new pair of pajamas, a brand new warm blanket, and a new stuffed animal to hug during the traumatic transition into foster care.
By supporting comfort cases, you ensure children will have these comforting items.

Raising Awareness: Throughout September, Incisive will be sharing information about Comfort Cases and the vital work they do. We want to shed light on the challenges that foster children face and how our efforts can positively impact their lives.
Fundraising: Incisive will be organizing various fundraising activities and initiatives to gather funds for Comfort Cases. Every dollar raised will go towards providing these children with their essential items and a special bag that they can call their own.
Bag Busters Challenge: One of the exciting activities we have planned is the "Bag Busters Challenge." This challenge encourages each of us to take part and experience what it's like for these children by packing all our necessities in a single bag for a day. It's a symbolic gesture that helps us understand the reality foster children face.

#BagBusters Challenge
This year our social media campaign includes the #BagBusters Challenge. This challenge encourages each of us to experience what it's like for children being rushed into foster care, by packing all our necessities in any bag we can find.
How to film your own #BagBusters Challenge:
Get your phone ready and set a timer for 20 seconds.
Ask someone to film you as you grab an available bag (garbage bag, shopping bag, duffle) and quickly fill it with what you can remember to pack.
Once the timer runs out, show us what you were able to grab. Let us know how it felt to be given a short time to pack what you might need to leave your home for good.
